Well, that time of year has finally rolled around. Today (July 29th) is my 14th birthday.
To celebrate, I invited my friend Mary over to spend the night last night. She came over at about 5:00 and we had pizza for dinner, followed by the opening of presents...everyone's favorite part (that is, if it's their birthday).
Afterward, we both went to mutual. The leaders decided to give us a trick...they gathered us in the Family History Center and told us that the night's activity would be on genealogy. After explaining, they took us upstairs for a "presentation"...which in the end turned out to be a welcome party for me! (As well as a good-bye party for Becca, who was moving). We played Pictionary and "clueskophone" and ate popcorn and brownies. It was one heck of a party, in a way.
Upon arriving home, we put on our pajamas, set up Mary's bed, and decided to hang out on the computer a while, doing all sorts of our random things.
At about 9:00, we finally had cake. Yum.
Mary and I went to my room at around 10:00, but we didn't wind up going to sleep until 12:45. Oh, the crazy things you discuss when at a sleepover...!
Morning was pretty simple: force ourselves awake, eat donuts, draw. We planned to make a video, but unfortunately, time slipped away from us. Ah well, maybe next time. ;)
Yay! Happy birthday! And Brandon too, a few weeks ago...
